Teton Valley lies along the eastern border of Idaho, snug against the 13,000' peaks of the Grand Teton range. The communities of Driggs, Victor, Tetonia and others share the Teton Mountain Range with the neighboring valley to the east, Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Folks describe Teton Valley as "the quiet side of the Tetons,” although there is a broad variety of sports, restaurants, and activities in the small town environments.
Nestled at an elevation of 6200 ft between the majestic Tetons and the beautiful Big Hole Mountains, Driggs, Idaho is the county seat of Teton County. Driggs has a totol population of approximately 1300 people in an incorporated area of nearly 350 acres.
The old west feel of downtown Driggs is being challenged by some new eclectic businesses such as bike shops, coffee shops, and art galleries. Driggs has much to offer, from an "old fashioned soda fountain" to a fun and wacky local bookstore that shows local artists'.
Driggs, Idaho is a rapidly growing community 35 minutes from Jackson Wyoming. When we say rapidly, we mean that a few hundred people a year decide to move in permanently to call this beautiful town in the Teton Valley home. Mens Journal listed Driggs, Idaho as one of the top 100 small towns in America. Driggs is a great place to live or visit. A Mecca for winter and summer sports, the mountains and rivers attract thousands of visitors each year, and a lucky few stay permanently.
All up-to-the-minute services are available. Plus, our residents can work in the morning and in the afternoon take a few runs at Grand Targhee Ski Resort (just up the road from Driggs, Idaho) or Teton Pass (just up the road from Victor, Idaho). In the summer, afternoons can be spent biking the Big Holes, wetting a fly in the Teton river, heading to the rodeo, hiking the Alaska Basin Trail. Don't forget that both Yellowstone National Park or Grand Teton National Park are a very short drive away for further adventure!
The jagged, snow-capped Tetons to the east and the rolling Big Hole Mountains to the west cradle the gentle, flat course of the Teton River. Old farmsteads scattered across the valley floor contradict beautiful new homes along the foothills. The population is a diverse mix of pioneer families and recently arrived residents from around the country, and world.
